How to move a Blogger account to a different Google account
This blog was orphaned when Google started consolidating services together.
The problem was that my original Blogger username (my personal email address) was already a Google Apps For Your Domain email address. Blogger didn't like that, and forced me to create a new (temporary) Gmail account.
The challenge was: how to gain access to this blog using my GAFYD account.
Here is what I found out -

Adobe Gamma
To prevent Adobe Gamma from loading its settings at startup, remove Adobe Gamma Loader:

Mini Mavis Personal Coach Launches at Startup

Mac Book Password Reset

You pretty much just use your install disks to get to a utility menu item for resetting the password. Quit out of the installer right after you reset the password. Thus you do not need to do a complete reinstall.

Mozilla Firefox - Can't edit or delete bookmarks on bookmarks toolbar.

You can also fix this by forcing Firefox to rebuild the Places database, as follows:
- (Optional) Export your bookmarks to an HTML file named bookmarks.html (see Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file for detailed instructions) and place the bookmarks.html file in the Firefox profile folder. If a bookmarks.html file already exists, allow the exported file to replace it.
- From the menu at the top of the Firefox window, select File and then select the Exit menu item.
- Open the Firefox profile folder and delete (or rename) the places.sqlite file and, if it exists, places.sqlite-journal.
- (Optional) If you want Firefox to automatically import your bookmarks from an existing bookmarks.html file in the profile folder, instead of from a JSON backup, open the bookmarkbackups folder and remove all bookmarks-(date).json files to another location.

Overcoming XBOX 360 Live Halo 3 NAT complaint
Playing Halo 3 online complains about NAT being Secure as opposed to Open.

You will find C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers has a file called core.cache.dsk. ComboFix finds it and knows it is bad but has trouble getting rid of it. It always comes back.
Turns out there is a file with .sys extension that is causing all the popups. It will have a recent date/time (date and time of the infection), and will have a name of a valid .sys file except the last character of the name duplicated. In my case the offending file was scisportt.sys (note the extra 't').
To cure this one, reboot into single-user mode, and delete both files (core.cache.dsk and filexx.sys) with Explorer. One of the easier ones to get rid of.
